Memorial Service for Duncan McGregor on November 8 at 10:30 at UCC Vermillion

      Dr. Duncan J. McGregor, Ph. D., 93, died at home in Vermillion on September 14, 2014.  On Saturday, November 8th at 10:30 am there will be a celebration to remember the lives of Duncan and Thelma McGregor.

      Later in his career, McGregor served as professor of geology and as Chairman of the USD Department of Earth Resources until his full retirement in 1986, when he was awarded the rank of professor emeritus.

     At USD, Duncan was an active member of the faculty serving on the University budget committee among others. He presented the Dean Harrington Lecture in 1985 and was an active member of the Clay County Historical Society and the Vermillion Rotary Club, he was honored with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
